Or, Why It’s A Good Idea to Ask „Why?”, But In a Wise Way
Usually, I don’t like the question “Why?”, but let’s put that aside for a bit.
On my desk I have a board where I wrote: „Why am I so blessed?”. It’s a question I found in a book and I adopted it.
I love to use questions for myself and for my clients. Question that encourage awareness.
We are not looking for answers (stemming from our mind), but for awareness of what is happening in our lives (coming from our being).
Awareness that comes through us from our connection to source and enriches our daily life.
So, our mind-our brain is always trying to give us answers. They are trying to be helpful, trying to protect us, trying to make sense of the world. And the mind loves questions like “why?” and can always find answers to those.
Knowing this, if we want to use the question „why?” and receive awareness instead of answers, we should phrase it like this:
“Why am I so happy?”
“Why are good things happening in my life?”
“Why do I feel so good?”
And our minds-our brains will look for reasons why we feel good.
Why so many good things are already in our lives.
Why we have so many reasons to feel good.
(Of course, we’re not ignoring the other not-so-good stuff, we’re focusing on the good parts here.)
When we ask „why is this happening to me?” or „why do I feel bad?”, our mind will look for reasons why we feel bad. And definitely find them, and find a lot of them!
So, let’s use questions „why?” with wisdom and encourage our minds and our brains to be helpful.
Let’s stop destroying our lives and be on a creative journey.
Let’s build a life where we encourage more of the good energies, more of the „why do I feel so good?” questions and thus create the lives we envision.
